Summary of Role 

The Principal Lead Commercial Strategy is a key member of the Customer & Markets teams. This role is responsible for driving the acceleration of GlobalFoundries’ sales strategy, establishing enterprise and regional objectives, and overseeing the roll-up of performance results across all sales regions. The individual will serve as a strategic partner to regional sales leaders, ensuring consistent alignment between corporate growth objectives, regional priorities, and operational execution. 

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Drive acceleration of GlobalFoundries’ overall sales strategy and execution framework 

  • Lead the design, management, and execution of sales performance management metrics, dashboards, and governance processes 

  • Act as a key liaison between Global Sales, Finance, Strategy, and End Market organizations to ensure synchronization of targets and outcomes. 

  • In alignment with enterprise-level sales strategy, partner with Regional Sales Leaders to develop tailored regional sales strategies, and measurable performance metrics 

  • Establish and maintain leading indicators, KPIs, and performance scorecards to monitor progress toward revenue and strategic goals. 

  • Support short-range and long-range revenue planning, including the Long-Range Plan (LRP) and Long-Range Demand (LRD) processes.. 

  • Manage the sales reporting cadence, ensuring timely visibility into trends, risks, and opportunities for leadership decision-making. 

  • Collaborate closely with the Digital Enablement and Data Analytics teams to enhance sales reporting tools, automation, and system integrations. 

  • Translate analytical findings into executive-level recommendations and narratives to support strategic decision-making. 

  • Drive a culture of data-driven accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the sales organization. 

 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related field. 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales strategy, commercial operations, or business performance management in the semiconductor or technology industry. 

  • Strong understanding of sales planning, pipeline management, and performance measurement frameworks. 

  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional processes and large-scale reporting programs. 

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data interpretation and storytelling. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing executive-level presentations and reports. 

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across global teams and influence without direct authority. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Strategy, or Finance. 

  • Experience with sales enablement systems and digital transformation initiatives in commercial organizations. 

  • Proficiency with CRM tools & data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI), and Excel analytics. 

  • Background in long-range business planning and forecasting within a matrixed organization.
