Job Summary:
The Principal Infrastructure Project Analyst manages large-scale, complex, cross-functional infrastructure programs with significant impact on enterprise operations. Develops project strategies, drives governance, and ensures adherence to budget and timelines. Identify improvement initiatives and solutions and manage their implementation within the Infrastructure and Operations. Understand IT needs and opportunities; possess a good understanding of risk mitigation plans and have the ability to perform and communicate feasibility studies. Manage work estimation and planning of analytical activities, which may include team resourcing, project time frames, and scope of projects. Participates in annual planning and budgeting cycles. Serves as a subject matter expert, influencing technology decisions and mentoring team members.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Manage the production of project and workstream plans, ensuring that all activities are identified, are appropriately organized and resourced to deliver project objectives, and comply with the organization's project and program management framework.
Plan and lead the delivery of a range of information gathering, analysis, and stakeholder consultation activities and specify, negotiate, and agree on project deliverables.
Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective working relationships for projects and to ensure that stakeholder needs and concerns are identified and met.
Plan and coordinate the identification and elicitation of requirements; conduct analysis of those requirements for completion and alignment; document and manage requirements throughout the life of the project; and coordinate the verification of the end deliverable. Generally done at the project level.
Identify and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project, escalating matters where appropriate. Where necessary, develop, agree on, and implement solutions to overcome these concerns.
Contribute to reviewing existing operations in own area of work, and generate new ideas to assist in identifying continuous improvements.
Edit document in line with organizational style guidelines and prepare information for publication.
Provide appropriate documentation and training to enable successful transition to business as usual. Identify and record lessons learned to inform future project activity.
Document complex "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required.
Develop and/or deliver a plan for significant aspects of internal communications with guidance from senior colleagues.
Conduct feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective and document findings to complete cost-benefit analysis on implementing changes to business processes, products, or business unit structure.
Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.
Develop and manage the delivery of a plan to evaluate and track business benefits and to identify actions needed to maximize them.
Help others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice.
Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving queries and issues and referring very complex or contentious issues to others.
Manage forecasting and demand planning projects, ensuring effective identification of trends for future demand and optimal planning of resources and budget.
Plan and deliver projects or programs, using an appropriate project management methodology to give assurance that intended outcomes are achieved.
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Plan and manage small project work assignments within desired cost, time and quality parameters.
Identify, verify, and manage changes to the scope of the project or program, utilizing the most appropriate approach.
Envision and document the future state of processes and products by identifying the solution scope, potential value of the future state, and the changes to the process, products, organization infrastructure, capabilities, and technology necessary to achieve the desired future state.
Conduct gap analysis between current and future states to identify components of the overall change strategy.
Express ideas, request actions, formulate plans, & policies by means of clear and effective verbal communications.
Identify, track, and enable the achievement of the planned benefits and intended outcomes of a program and associated projects.
Develop and apply an entrepreneurial spirit to run a project and program within business operation parameters.
Estimate each of the components of project, program, or portfolio work, including costs, activity durations, resource needs, risks, stakeholders, etc. across the life of the project or program.
Utilize and adapt life cycle frameworks to the unique nature of the project, and orchestrate the integration of all component parts to deliver the project.
Establish and manage the quality policies, procedures, and responsibilities for a project or program that satisfies the needs for which it was undertaken.
Mentor more junior colleagues.
Preferred:
Education: Bachelor's Degree, Equivalent Level, or commensurate experience
Experience: Experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised (3 to 5 years)
Managerial Experience: Experience of general supervision of more junior colleagues (7 to 12 months)
