The Principal, Healthcare Education Solutions is responsible for driving the strategic design, development, and delivery of innovative healthcare and allied health education solutions that address critical workforce needs in this rapidly evolving sector. Serving as both a subject matter expert (SME) and strategic advisor, this role helps shape Workforce Edge’s (WFE) portfolio of healthcare solutions to meet the demands of employers, employees, and academic partners.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Workforce Edge Portfolio Strategy, the Principal collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, partner engagement, sales, and customer success to curate and optimize a portfolio of healthcare and allied health programs. The role is responsible for identifying emerging skill gaps, evaluating program effectiveness, and recommending new partnerships or solution designs that strengthen WFE’s leadership in healthcare education and workforce readiness.
This position plays a pivotal role in advancing WFE’s mission to connect learning and career outcomes, ensuring our healthcare and allied health solutions remain competitive, scalable, and aligned with employer needs across clinical, administrative, and technology-driven healthcare roles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Healthcare Solutions Strategy Development: Lead the design and continuous refinement of a curated healthcare and allied health education solutions portfolio, leveraging existing SEI and Workforce Edge (WFE) offerings while identifying strategic new programs and partnerships through market analysis and employer feedback.
- Vertical Channel Leadership: Serve as the primary strategist and subject matter expert for the healthcare and allied health vertical, ensuring Workforce Edge solutions align with evolving industry trends, employer needs, and workforce demand for both clinical and non-clinical roles.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Enterprise Partnerships (EP) leadership and key teams across the organization, including:
- Employer Solutions and Partnership Engagement to align offerings with client needs and employer demand.
- Products to translate market insights into solution design and platform integration.
- Operations and Enablement (to ensure efficient delivery and scalability.
- Marketing to develop effective positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
- Technology/Engineering to integrate learning technologies and analytics.
- USHE and other academic partners to expand and enhance program quality and reach.
- Market Scanning and Innovation: Continuously monitor healthcare and allied health workforce trends, policy changes, and competitive offerings to identify gaps, innovations, and partnership opportunities that enhance Workforce Edge’s value proposition.
- Employer and Partner Engagement: Represent Workforce Edge and Enterprise Partnerships as a thought leader and healthcare education strategist at client meetings, conferences, and industry events. Provide insights on workforce development challenges and emerging healthcare education models.
- Strategic Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional initiatives that strengthen Workforce Edge’s position as a market leader in healthcare workforce education, ensuring solutions are differentiated, data-informed, and aligned with employer and learner outcomes.
Job Skills:
- Proven experience in education strategy, program design, or portfolio management, with deep knowledge of the healthcare and allied health sectors.
- Strong understanding of healthcare workforce trends, credentialing pathways, and employer skill requirements across clinical, administrative, and emerging health technology roles.
- Demonstrated ability to translate market insights and workforce needs into actionable solution strategies, driving growth and measurable outcomes.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent Workforce Edge as a subject matter expert in client, partner, and industry settings.
- Highly skilled in cross-functional collaboration, partnering effectively with product, sales, marketing, operations, and external partners to deliver cohesive, market-ready solutions.

Work Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare workforce development, healthcare education solutions, or related fields within the education, healthcare, or EdTech sectors.
- Deep understanding of healthcare and allied health industry trends, credentialing requirements, workforce skill gaps, and employer talent needs.
- Demonstrated experience designing, curating, or managing education and training programs that address workforce readiness and upskilling in healthcare professions.
- Proven success engaging with healthcare employers, academic partners, and industry associations to develop impactful learning and credentialing pathways.
- Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams—including product, sales, marketing, and operations—to bring market-relevant education solutions to scale.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Other:
- Must be able to travel occasionally should a business need arise. For most roles travel would not be common. Travel may involve plane, car or metro. In accordance with ADA policies, reasonable accommodations regarding travel limitations can be provided. Travel will be more common for roles such as Account Executives (25 - 50%), senior leaders (10 – 20%) or Capella Core Faculty (5 – 10%).
- Ability to work onsite in Corporate or Campus location (in a typical office environment) may be required based on role. If so, this would include being mobile within the office, including movement from floor-to-floor using elevators or stairs.
