Zocdoc

Principal, GTM Readiness and Strategy

New York, NY, United States Full Time

Our Mission

Healthcare should work for patients, but it doesn’t. In their time of need, they call down outdated insurance directories. Then wait on hold. Then wait weeks for the privilege of a visit. Then wait in a room solely designed for waiting. Then wait for a surprise bill. In any other consumer industry, the companies delivering such a poor customer experience would not survive. But in healthcare, patients lack market power. Which means they are expected to accept the unacceptable.

Zocdoc’s mission is to give power to the patient. To do that, we’ve built the leading healthcare marketplace that makes it easy to find and book in-person or virtual care in all 50 states, across +200 specialties and +12k insurance plans. By giving patients the ability to see and choose, we give them power. In doing so, we can make healthcare work like every other consumer sector, where businesses compete for customers, not the other way around. In time, this will drive quality up and prices down.

We’re 18 years old and the leader in our space, but we are still just getting started. If you like solving important, complex problems alongside deeply thoughtful, driven, and collaborative teammates, read on.

Your Impact on our Mission

Zocdoc’s most important asset is our people. As a Go-to-Market / Commercialization Lead, you’ll play a meaningful role in ensuring our product roadmap translates into real-world adoption, customer value, and sustainable revenue growth. You will sit at the center of Product, Sales, Marketing, Enablement, and Operations—shaping how new offerings come to life in the market and ensuring teams are fully prepared to win from day one.

You’ll enjoy this role if you are…

  • Personally motivated by turning strategy into execution and seeing ideas land successfully with customers
  • Autonomous, urgent, and creative. You genuinely love building structure where ambiguity exists and driving momentum across teams
  • Highly collaborative and comfortable influencing without authority at all levels of the organization
  • Passionate about helping go-to-market teams succeed with clarity, confidence, and the right tools
  • A strong systems thinker who balances big-picture strategy with operational detail
  • The kind of person who spots risk early, speaks up clearly, and proposes thoughtful solutions
  • Serious about your work, but not about yourself. Let’s face it—the way things are going, you kind of need a sense of humor

Your day to day is…

  • Owning and evolving Zocdoc’s standard GTM readiness framework, including stage gates, RACIs, critical-path deliverables, and launch scorecards
  • Translating product roadmaps into quarterly GTM operating plans by segment (e.g., SMB/local vs. enterprise) in close partnership with Product and Product Marketing
  • Ensuring front-line readiness across Sales, Partnerships, Support, and Operations—including positioning, messaging, pricing and packaging rules, quoting, billing, and escalation paths
  • Driving cross-functional working groups to answer critical pre-launch questions such as who sells, who supports, target accounts, ICP fit, offer rules, and success metrics
  • Defining and standing up launch measurement to track adoption, pipeline creation, win-rate impact, expansion, retention, and support burden
  • Identifying execution risk early (systems, staffing, training, claims, SLAs), proposing mitigation plans, and keeping leadership informed with clear updates

You’ll be successful in this role if you have…

  • A meaningful (8+ years) experience in GTM, commercialization, revenue enablement, strategy/operations, or product marketing with close sales partnership
  • A proven track record leading complex, cross-functional launches with pricing and packaging implications
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate clearly, influence decisions, and run QBR-style performance reviews
  • A data-driven mindset—you can define success metrics, build simple models, and use insights to guide decisions
  • The mentality of an entrepreneur/owner with a strong bias toward action and accountability
  • Superb communication skills and a belief that keeping stakeholders informed through multiple channels is key to success
  • Humility. You believe in treating all people with dignity and respect, regardless of title or tenure
  • The ability to integrate generative AI tools into daily workflows to automate tasks, foster innovation, and maximize productivity
