Northrop Grumman Corporate Office is seeking a highly qualified candidates for a Principal Financial Analyst in Falls Church, VA. This position requires a highly motivated, self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail. The selected candidate will directly report to the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis and job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Provides analytical support for rolling forecasts and aggregating sector and corporate office data for monthly, quarterly and annual processes.
Ensures accurate calculations, tracking and reporting of source data and prepares variance narratives for leadership review.
Prepares analytics to support corporate-wide activities for capital management and business case valuations to support potential merger, divestiture and acquisition (MD&A) activities.
Involved in confidential & special projects in support of the executive management team and Board of Directors.
Prepares financial products to support the long-range strategic/financial planning, proxy analysis, peer competitive analyses and evaluating the position of the company's business portfolio.
Coordinates with internal and external parties, including consultants, corporate and sector strategic and financial planners, and other business management functions
Identifies proactive process improvement approaches to recurring deliverables, with a focus on increased data fidelity and reduced cycle time.
Embraces technology and automation to achieve faster and more efficient outcomes.
Perform preliminary and final/detailed valuation analyses; be able to work independently under minimal supervision, ability to perform complex research, prepare final review materials; prepare in depth customer presentations and analyze and critique financial statements and investor material

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of Big 4 Accounting, Management Consulting and or Investment Banking experience; or 3 years of related analytical / transaction experience.
Advanced financial modeling, MS Excel and PowerPoint mastery
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience and/or expertise with financial or enterprise performance management applications, specifically IBM Planning Analytics.
