Job Description:
This role is hybrid, 3 days per week in our offices at Parkwest Business Park, Dublin.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced engineer to lead and shape our Platform & AI Enablement team, Trailblazers. This role combines two critical missions: building our internal developer platform with paved paths and development portal capabilities, while pioneering AI-powered tools and practices that transform how our 300+ engineers build software.
Our team's mission is to provide self-service capabilities to developers which drives quality, standardization, and velocity across the entire organization. We believe in the principles of Platform Engineering to identify the pain points impacting Workhuman product teams and enable those teams by providing common, reusable tools and capabilities via an internal developer platform (IDP). Simultaneously, we're at the forefront of AI enablement, developing AI coding agents, context engineering solutions, and agentic IDE integrations that embed our architectural guidelines and best practices directly into developer workflows.

The Skills You Will Bring
You have 10+ years working in enterprise applications development with the following: Java, Spring, microservices
You have hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g. ECS, ECR, Lambda functions, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, AWS Batch, CloudWatch...) and CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of platform engineering principles and internal developer platform patterns
Hands-on experience building or implementing AI-powered development tools, coding assistants, or agentic workflows
Understanding of prompt engineering, context engineering, and AI safety consideration
Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar AI integration frameworks
You can evangelize and drive adoption of both platform capabilities and AI tools across a diverse engineering organization
Achievements
You have experience in creating paved paths or best practice tools or services or have worked on implementing an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) in the past
You have successfully introduced AI capabilities or tools within an engineering organization
