The Role and Impact Intel is seeking an accomplished and visionary Principal Engineer in SoC Design Verification to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the functional logic verification of integrated SoC designs, ensuring they meet specifications and contribute to Intel's leadership in innovative technology. As a domain expert, you will influence technical direction across Intel and the industry, mentor other leaders, and align organizational goals with technical strategies to deliver groundbreaking solutions. Your contributions will play a critical role in shaping our products, enhancing quality, and driving Intel's mission to create world-changing technology. Key Responsibilities - Define and develop scalable and reusable block, subsystem, and SoC verification plans, test benches, and environments to achieve comprehensive coverage and adherence to specifications. - Execute verification plans and utilize emulation and system simulation models to validate design functionality, analyze power and performance, and uncover bugs. - Debug issues in the presilicon environment, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures to resolve failing tests. - Collaborate closely with SoC architects, microarchitects, RTL developers, postsilicon teams, and physical design teams to improve verification processes and ensure the seamless integration of complex features. - Document test plans and lead technical reviews with design and architecture teams, ensuring alignment and quality. - Incorporate security activities into verification workflows, including regression and debug tests, to guarantee robust security coverage. - Maintain and enhance existing functional verification infrastructure and methodology, integrating lessons learned from postsilicon and proliferating improvements to future products. - Mentor and develop other technical leaders, foster community growth, act as a change agent, and model Intel values.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's or BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. - 12 or more years of experience in SoC functional logic verification with a Bachelor's degree, 8 or more years with a Master's degree, or 6 or more years with a PhD. - Expertise in developing block, subsystem, and SoC verification plans, test benches, and verification environments. - Proficiency in emulation and system simulation models for SoC design validation. - Demonstrated ability to root cause and debug issues in presilicon environments and implement corrective measures. - Deep understanding of system architecture and SoC microarchitecture. - Advanced knowledge of SoC test environment and VC development tools.
