Can Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Launch and Missile Defense Systems offers a great opportunity for a Principal Engineer, Field – C2BMC Trainer (26-210) to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. Located in Colorado Springs, CO, this role is essential in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position, and this role requires on-site work with no remote options.
Position Overview:
The Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a key component of the Missile Defense System. It provides an essential operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability that delivers an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It functions as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations, both worldwide and locally, to improve overall performance. Additionally, C2BMC is a critical component of all ground and flight tests that validate and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.
The C2BMC Trainer will be responsible for developing training materials (computer-based training, instructor guides, operator manuals, and checks on learning) and conducting training events for MDA and warfighter users on C2BMC application operations, missile defense, and space C2 operations. Interface with the C2BMC National Team to define requirements and maintain up-to-date training plans and materials.
Essential Functions:
Prepare plans, internal communications, and other briefings for the Training team and C2BMC leadership program
Represent the C2BMC National Team to MDA and warfighter users during field training or train-the-trainer programs
Basic Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
Applicants must possess a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret/SCI security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
Ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 25% to support training courses are required
Experience with Space C2 and Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) systems
Technical aptitude to become a system expert in C2BMC mission applications and in the design and production of interactive training systems for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and C2BMC users
Experience in adult learning, education, and/or training
Experience developing training content for web-based and/or computer-based training that supports simulation for a large-scale, software-intensive system
Experience with the following tools: Articulate, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Photoshop, and MS Office Suite

Primary Level Salary Range: $85,600.00 - $128,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
