Principal Engineer, Embedded Software
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute comprehensive system integration and validation plans for complex SoCs.
• Build system level test cases to validate functional correctness, cornercases, performance, and power modes transitions.
• Lead debugging and root-cause analysis of cross-domain SoC issues spanning hardware, firmware, and drivers, leveraging advanced debug tools, waveform analysis, and logs.
• Collaborate with design, software, and emulation/virtual platform teams to resolve issues and refine test methodologies.
• Support the development and evolution of automation frameworks for multi-platform regression testing.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development across the team.
• Document technical findings and present results to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in system validation, silicon bring-up, or post-silicon debug for complex SoCs.
• Strong proficiency with GCC toolchains, embedded debug tools and utilities (e.g., Segger, OpenOCD), and version control systems such as Git.
• Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages for automation and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and validation automation flows.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to diverse audiences.
