As a Principal Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering digital engineering excellence. This position demands a blend of technical depth and strategic vision, with hands-on capability across modern digital platforms and enterprise-scale solutions. You’ll bring expertise in digital analytics, personalisation, tag management, customer data platforms (CDP), and marketing automation ideally leveraging Adobe Experience Cloud products such as Analytics, Target, Launch, AEP, and Campaign.
You’ll also work with digital communication systems (e.g., Atomic) and large-scale CMS-powered corporate websites, while exploring emerging technologies like Agentic AI deployment and observability practices. Your integration skills will span API, Kafka streams, batch file processing, and connector solutions (custom and out-of-the-box).
This role suits a proactive, go-getter who thrives in ambiguity, can start from zero context, and quickly build clarity. You’ll collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups and vendors, influencing enterprise policy to ensure it remains future-fit. Define and drive technology strategy across digital platforms, ensuring alignment with business outcomes.
Lead architecture and integration for scalable, high-quality systems.
Champion best practices in cloud-native and on-premises solutions, API/Kafka integrations, and enterprise-scale CMS platforms.
Guide adoption of advanced capabilities like digital analytics, marketing automation, and Agentic AI.
Mentor teams, influence stakeholders, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Navigate ambiguity with confidence, making sound decisions under pressure.
Nā tāu rourou | What you’ll bring
Extensive experience (15+ years) in software engineering and digital transformation, combining deep expertise in enterprise-scale frontend and backend development with strong capability in digital analytics, personalisation, CDP, marketing automation, and Adobe Experience Cloud (Analytics, Target, Launch, AEP, Campaign).
Familiarity with digital communication systems (e.g., Atomic) and large-scale CMS-powered corporate websites.
Exposure to emerging technologies, including Agentic AI deployment and observability practices.
Solid integration skills across API, Kafka streams, batch file processing, and connector solutions (both custom and out-of-the-box).
A proactive, go-getter attitude with the ability to work from zero context and quickly build clarity.
Confidence in working across diverse stakeholder groups and vendors to achieve shared outcomes.
Experience in shaping, clarifying, and challenging enterprise policies to ensure they remain future-fit.
Strong architectural capability to connect strategy, design, and execution, and to define engineering standards for scalable, high-quality systems.
