Provide hands-on technical guidance — participating in code and architectural reviews, and guiding design and implementation decisions within your discipline.
Team Leadership & Global Collaboration

Lead, mentor, and coach a team of data engineers, focusing on technical excellence and capability development.
Drive seamless coordination and effective communication with US-based Product, Analytics, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.
Convert functional plans into operational processes and oversee their execution.
Manage resources, guide subordinates, and set procedures within company policies.
Governance, Quality, and Efficiency
Implement and enforce established data governance and access control frameworks to ensure compliance and ethical data use within your team's scope.
Advance observability and reliability practices, ensuring proactive monitoring and optimization of pipelines and workloads under your management.
Analyze diverse issues, applying processes and policies to choose appropriate solutions, and using judgment to shape procedures.
Oversee and recommend changes to ensure appropriate allocation and cost-effectiveness of cloud data resources.
AI & Analytics Enablement
Collaborate with Data Science and Analytics teams to ensure data pipelines and infrastructure under your purview support defined AI/ML workloads.
Ensure the operational data platform effectively supports standard reporting and self-service analytics needs.
Your team will:
Based out of India, support and operate LiveRamp’s internal data platform that powers analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives across the company.
About you:
10+ years of related experience in Data Engineering or a related technical role, including experience managing technical teams.
A hands-on technical leader with deep experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing modern data platforms (e.g., BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, Kafka, Spark).
Expertise in data modeling, ELT/ETL pipelines, and orchestration.
Demonstrated success in collaborating and communicating effectively with US-based stakeholders and engineering teams in a geographically dispersed model.
Strong understanding of data reliability, governance, and distributed computing.
Practical knowledge of cost management in cloud environments.
Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical trade-offs to stakeholders and converting functional plans into operational processes.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
Preferred Skills:
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery).
Experience enabling specific AI/ML workloads through scalable, reliable data infrastructure.
Flexible paid time off, paid holidays, options for working from home, and paid parental leave.
