Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Principal Contract Administrator based out of our office in Warner Robins, GA. Secondary consideration may be given to highly qualified candidates based out of other Northrop Grumman offices. This position is full-time on-site and offers the 9/80 Schedule.
The successful applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Defense Systems Sector and will support the Integrated Mission Solutions Operating Unit (IMS OU). The IMS OU focuses on production, repair, engineering and software for electronic aerospace components, including radar, electronic countermeasures, and test equipment. This is a very dynamic OU with numerous contracts supporting US DOD customers, other prime contractors, and some international entities. This position will support a portfolio of small-to-medium-sized contracts. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to manage customer relationships while collaborating internally with program and functional team members to facilitate successful contract execution and resolve emerging issues. Candidate must have knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS).
Responsibilities include by are not limited to:
Form close working relationships with customer contracting officers and internal stakeholders to form and administer executable and profitable contracts.
Lead proposal preparation, contract negotiation and contract administration activities from proposal through closeout.
Ensure that proposals are fully compliant with customer requirements and have been reviewed and approved at the appropriate internal level.
Develop and execute negotiation strategy and plan to form the most beneficial agreement possible between Northrop Grumman and the customer in a timely manner.
Participate in Northrop Grumman and customer meetings to monitor contract performance and compliance and apply effective change management when required.
Negotiate agreements such as non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, CRADAs, and MOAs/MOUs within company guidelines.
Enter and manage data contractual data in the SAP S4 system.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Contract Administrator
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience supporting DoD contracts – OR – Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience supporting DoD contracts. Will consider 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience using MS Office Suite, Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Teams
Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and commercial contract terms
Experience working with US government or commercial customers
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using SAP S4 / 1ERP
The ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance
Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
