Principal Consultant - EHS Site Due-Diligence

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Full time

We are currently recruiting a Principal Consultant with appropriate background and qualifications to join EHS Site Due-Diligence team in Malaysia. It is expected that the selected candidate will be primarily supporting project delivery and opportunities pursuit for our Phase I, II and III environmental site assessment, risk assessment and remediation services in Malaysia and Brunei. The candidate may also be required to support across our broader range of EHS services.

To support the successful delivery of ERM projects and objectives by:

  • Leading, coordinating and managing planning, execution and reporting of Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), risk assessment and remediation projects through the whole project life cycle
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining proactive health and safety, environmental and quality management program at project sites
  • Developing and promoting good sustainability practices within projects
  • Managing and supervising an ERM project team of some 8 consulting staff
  • Managing subcontractors and laboratories with support from the project teams
  • Establishing strong working relationships with clients through networking, direct engagement and project delivery
  • Leading or supporting preparation or technical and commercial proposal, as well as business development efforts
  • Meet business financial targets, overall project budget and schedule, client satisfaction/expectations, and internal and contract requirements
  • Proactively support continuous development of EHS Due-diligence services in Malaysia and Brunei;
  • Demonstrate the drive and ambition to engage with clients and develop ERM’s business

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in ESA, risk assessment and remediation projects, preferably in Malaysia and Southeast Asia
  • Strong leadership and communications skills
  • Demonstrated project management and contractor management experiences, with working knowledge on workplace health and safety, as well as waste and hazardous material management
  • Preferably with experiences working in technology (Data Centres), diversified energy (including oil and gas), chemical / pharmaceutical and manufacturing.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Science or Engineering degree) on Civil / Environmental Engineering / Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent)
