NTT DATA is accelerating its leadership in AI-enabled enterprise transformation and is seeking a market-leading Principal Consultant – Data & AI to drive this growth.

This is a senior, client-facing leadership role within our Data & Analytics practice, responsible for shaping and delivering high-impact transformation programs across Data Strategy, Governance, Modern Data Platforms, and Artificial Intelligence.

AI is the strategic anchor of this role, spanning Machine Learning, Generative AI, and emerging Agentic AI capabilities, while maintaining deep expertise across Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake data ecosystems.

You will operate at the intersection of executive advisory, complex program delivery, and capability leadership, helping clients modernise their data foundations while unlocking tangible value from AI at scale.

Your day at NTT

• Lead and own the delivery of enterprise-scale Data & AI transformation programs from strategy through to execution and value realisation.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite and senior executives, shaping AI-led data transformation roadmaps.
• Drive the design and delivery of:
  • Enterprise data strategies and operating models
  • Data governance and enterprise data management frameworks
  • Cloud-native data platforms (Azure, Databricks, Snowflake)
  • Production-grade AI solutions including ML, Generative AI, and emerging agentic architectures

• Ensure solutions are commercially sound, scalable, secure, and aligned to measurable business outcomes.
• Shape complex opportunities through presales leadership, including solution strategy, commercial structuring, and executive presentations.
• Identify and create growth opportunities across existing and new accounts.
• Contribute to NTT DATA’s AI point of view, reference architectures, and reusable intellectual property.
• Mentor and lead high-performing, multidisciplinary teams across architecture, engineering, and AI disciplines.
• Strengthen and scale AI capability within the practice, influencing standards, governance models, and delivery excellence.

What would make you a good fit for this role?

• 15+ years’ experience leading enterprise Data & Analytics transformation within a consulting or Systems Integrator environment.
• Demonstrated success delivering complex, multi-stream programs spanning strategy, platform modernisation, and AI enablement.
• Strong expertise across:
  • Data Strategy and Operating Models
  • Enterprise Data Governance and Data Management
  • Modern Cloud Data Platforms
  • AI/ML and Generative AI initiatives in production environments

• Deep experience with Microsoft Azure, Databricks (Lakehouse architectures), and Snowflake ecosystems.
• Practical understanding of AI technologies including LLMs, RAG pipelines, orchestration frameworks, and Responsible AI governance.
• Commercially astute with experience shaping large deals, supporting RFx responses, and managing delivery risk.
• Comfortable influencing at CxO level and translating complex technology into strategic business outcomes.
• Recognised as a thought leader who stays ahead of industry trends across AI and modern data platforms.

Highly Desirable

• Azure, Databricks, or Snowflake certifications.
• DAMA CDMP or equivalent data governance accreditation.
• Experience establishing AI operating models, AI Centres of Excellence, or enterprise Responsible AI frameworks.
• Experience delivering AI-enabled transformation in large, complex or regulated environments.
