Position Purpose:
Leads the creation and development of architecture, and development of public cloud solutions, including impacts to enterprise architecture and delivery of cloud strategies, that are aligned with business objectives.
Directs and executes the buildout and management of platforms in the cloud. Maintains reliability and security requirements are met.
Leads the Cloud Architects in the development of the overall cloud architecture.
Areas of focus include AWS, Azure, API Gateways, Kubernetes, Development and developer tools (Gitlab, Artifactory, Confluence), Infrastructure as Code
Creates and develops standards, frameworks, patterns, and processes to benefit existing stakeholders
Partners with key stakeholders, industry experts, and technical peers to understand technology and business requirements, industry trends and the broader architecture landscape
Develops, leads and communicates the technical architecture direction and roadmap for cloud capabilities
Sustains a strong understanding of the current cloud platform and proactively leads the analysis of the technology environment to detect deficiencies, gaps, and opportunities. Leads to prioritize, initiate and implement technology efforts aimed at addressing these opportunities
Translates business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives
Provides guidance as it relates to cloud automation and CI/CD capabilities
Ensures compliance of solutions to architectural standards
Collaborates with security architecture and information security to ensure integrity of solutions and meet enterprise standards and policies
Performs other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and requires deep functional and Centene specific knowledge with 6 – 8 years of related experience.
Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
