Location - Gurugram (On Site)
We are seeking a highly experienced Business Analysis Team Lead to head our Business Analysis function within the Settlements domain.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in post-trade processing, strong knowledge of settlement-related SWIFT standards (ISO 20022 and ISO 15022), and proven experience leading teams and engaging with senior stakeholders across regions.
Responsibilities
Act as subject matter expert (SME) for post-trade settlement processes across multiple asset classes (where applicable).
Ensure solutions are aligned with end-to-end post-trade workflows, including trade capture, matching, confirmation, and settlement.
Review and optimize settlement processes for efficiency, control, and risk reduction.
Stay up to date with relevant market regulations and industry initiatives impacting settlements (e.g., T+1 in Europe, CSDR and related regulations).
Work with compliance, legal, and operations to ensure timely and accurate implementation of regulatory requirements.
Act as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders in HQ and regional offices.
Collaborate closely with external counterparts (e.g., custodians, CSDs, brokers, vendors) to align on processes and solutions.
Present analysis, recommendations, and project updates clearly and confidently to senior management and steering committees.
Your profile
This role will be responsible for driving analysis, requirements definition, and solution design for settlement systems and processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory changes (e.g., T+1 in Europe ), Market updates and business objectives. The candidate will collaborate closely with Operations, Technology, Product, and external partners.
Further we are looking for a candidate with the following professional competencies:
15 + years of relevant experience in Settlement Domain
Well versed with settlement-related SWIFT standards (ISO 20022 and ISO 15022)
Knowledge of upcoming market changes related to Settlements in European and US Market
Exposure to other back-office domains such as:
Corporate Actions (processing lifecycle, entitlements, deadlines, elections).
Reconciliations (cash and securities controls).
