What We'll Bring:

We are seeking a highly technical and visionary Sr. Director for Data and Analytics Platform Engineering. This individual contributor role demands deep expertise in designing, developing, and managing data and analytics platforms across multi-cloud hybrid infrastructures. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technologist with a strong background in cloud-native architectures, data engineering, and platform scalability.

Key Responsibilities

· - Architect and implement scalable data and analytics platforms across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.

· - Lead the design and development of cloud-native data pipelines, storage solutions, and analytics services.

· - Ensure high availability, performance, and security of data platforms.

· - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align platform capabilities with business requirements.

· - Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities.

· - Establish best practices for data governance, metadata management, and data quality.

· - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.

· - Drive automation and DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment of data services.

What You'll Bring:

Required Technical Skills

· - Expertise in cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

· - Strong proficiency in containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.

· - Experience with data lake and data warehouse technologies: Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure Synapse.

· - Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks: Apache Airflow, dbt, Informatica.

· - Proficiency in programming languages: Python, Java, Scala, SQL.

· - Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks: Apache Spark, Hadoop.

· - Experience with real-time data streaming: Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Azure Event Hubs.

· - Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation.

· - Strong understanding of security and compliance in cloud environments.

· - Experience with monitoring and logging tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack.

· - Knowledge of data governance frameworks and tools: Collibra, Alation.

· - Understanding of API design and microservices architecture.

Qualifications

· - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

· - 18+ years of experience in data engineering and platform development.

· - Proven track record of building and scaling data platforms in multi-cloud environments.

· - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

· - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
