Our team in Austin, TX (or Alpharetta, GA) is looking for a Principal Analyst, Strategic Pricing and Contracts. Working in support of the Medical Devices US Sales Division, the Principal Analyst, of Strategic Pricing and Contracts will interface with Sales, Sales Management, Enterprise Accounts Sales personnel, Sales Operations, Marketing, Finance, OEC and Legal to apply business management principles and financial concepts that maximize the company’s performance against sales and profit goals and minimize risk.
What You’ll Work On
Fully manage, maintain and develop all medical device contracting templates for use across all medical device business units through strong command of MS Word programs and Sales Force. Possesses advanced skills in designing, formatting and troubleshooting customized templates and other professional documents to meet project needs and enhance productivity. Works with development teams on various updates and timing of template releases.
Work as a liaison with commercial legal support and Business Unit Managers to develop and implement processes that ensure the business is equipped with the legal guidance, contracts, tools, and solutions to execute business objectives in an effective and legally-compliant manner.
Develop negotiation plan and lead negotiations on terms and conditions with external customers that result in successful contract execution. Must be fluent in the terms and conditions, contract structures and processes/systems to hold meaningful discussions while representing Abbott in a professional manner.
Review and redline contract terms and coordinate with Legal and other departments on contract redlines; utilizing internal and customer templates and creation of custom language. Assist with the capture of tracked clauses for reporting.
Possess a sense of urgency and ability to work under customer driven deadlines. This includes the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
Understand and help train field teams and fellow analysts on internal policies, including USP&P, contract compliance guidelines, templates and general processes.
Organizes and leads internal business and legal meetings to review requests that fall outside of general guidelines.
Provides reports and analysis to department and senior management as requested.
Knowledge of multiple product lines across five Medical Device Business Units (EP, HF, SH, CRM, Vascular).
Along with business operations partners, execute improvement programs to streamline the flow of various system operations and template enhancements.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Bachelors Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Masters Degree Preferred
Minimum 8 years related work experience with a strong understanding of specified functional area.
Preferred qualifications
Prior experience in template management, legal or contracting is preferred.
Prior experience as Abbott Medical Devices Business Analyst in a Business Unit is preferred.
Excellent presentation, written and oral communications skills with attention to detail.
Experience in direct negotiations with customers preferred.
Proficient in the use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong strategic and problem-solving skills required.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work under general supervision
Strong quantitative & qualitative analysis
Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly with remote sites & business partners including building relationship with sales personnel to be highly effective

The base pay for this position is
$99,300.00 – $198,700.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
