Job Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the Senior Director, Global FP&A in the preparation, analysis and timely delivery of accurate performance reporting for the Global Advanced Diagnostics business. This role requires advanced excel capability to manage complex datasets, automate reporting and provide insightful analysis.
The Senior Financial Analyst is expected to be the subject matter expert in reporting, with advanced knowledge and experience in the various reporting systems such as BPC and Power BI, complemented by advanced Excel expertise. The successful candidate must demonstrate working knowledge of financial statements and analytical techniques. Assess accuracy of data based on comparison to budgets and/or forecasts. Good working knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and corporate finance policy guidelines. The ability to develop relationships and collaborate with ADx finance associates will be essential in carrying out the responsibilities of this position.
Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of this role include the creation and preparation of all Global related reporting used for monthly performance reporting, monthly/quarterly forecast process and annual budget. The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will be responsible for the preparation and consolidation of templates that require regional inputs in support of performance analyses, as well as providing support in management dashboards and various presentation decks for leadership as required. This role will also play a key role in supporting integration activities related to reporting and is expected to support modelling utilizing multiple data sources.
Prepare comprehensive monthly reports covering Revenue to Gross Profit by Product line, Profit & Loss statements, Other Cost of Sales, Pricing analysis, and Instrument Units tracking. Develop and maintain Regional Monthly Close Review templates and manage the Monthly Revenue and P&L Outlook process.
Create and maintain management dashboards for leadership decision-making and prepare all Global financial management reporting, ensuring data accuracy through reconciliation between source systems and reporting outputs.
Serve as liaison between BPC, source systems, and regional teams to reconcile financial data and prepare tie-out adjustments. Ensure data integrity across large datasets by implementing robust controls and validation checks.
Maintain and enhance reporting processes with proper documentation. Develop and maintain complex Excel models to support financial reporting while identifying opportunities to streamline reporting through automation.
Produce clear, structured reports suitable for both finance and leadership stakeholders. Prepare ad hoc performance reporting and analyses for Global AD as required and support implementation of new reporting tools or enhancements to existing models.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in an Accounting/Finance function is necessary for this position.
Must be in Eastern Standard Time zone.
The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate excellent multitasking abilities, maintain strong organizational skills, possess good analytical and communication capabilities, and exhibit meticulous attention to detail with a quality-oriented mindset.
Proficiency in GAAP principles and SEC reporting requirements is essential for success in this role.
Candidates must be highly skilled in MS Excel and demonstrate reasonable proficiency with other common Microsoft applications including Word and PowerPoint.
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required, while CPA/CA/MBA qualification or working toward such certification is desirable but not mandatory.
Working knowledge of SAP, BPC and PowerBI, highly preferred
