We are responsible for local market intelligence, strategy, go-to-market, and performance management, which aims to drive short and long-term DMA-level profitability.  We are seeking a data-driven, results-oriented analytical leader with strong experience, to serve as Principal, Advanced Analytics for Team Moneyball.

In this role, you will drive the development of sophisticated performance measurement systems that deliver clear insights and recommendations for our localized go-to-market efforts. You will own end-to-end analytics, including data strategy, success metrics, benchmarking, and predictive modeling. You will lead the quantitative analysis of DMAs, mapping and visualization of various footprints, design of performance dashboards, reporting frameworks, and profitability analyses that will be featured in playbooks, business reviews, executive briefings, and operational reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead data analysis and composition of playbooks, including performance, competitive, network, spectrum, retail, pricing and offers data.
  • Partner with the Technology team to design and enhance interactive dashboards, scorecards, and digital tools that provide visibility into local initiative performance.
  • Partner with Strategy and GTM teams to deliver clear, forward-looking insights, translating analytics into compelling, decision-ready narratives.
  • Analyze go-to-market performance and distinct characteristics of each DMA to effectively tag and identify scalable opportunities across various products and footprints.
  • Own end-to-end reporting process for local market programs, including metric definition, benchmarking, data ingestion, transformation, and pipeline integrity.
  • Partner with Research, Finance, Marketing, Distribution, and Local teams to ensure analytics reflect real-time business impact and profitability.
  • Serve as the primary source of data insights for DMA-level strategy reviews, business cases, and executive forums, ensuring data accuracy and insight quality.
  • Analyze large, complex data sets to assess performance, optimize investment and resource allocation, and inform local execution decisions.
  • Ensure consistency, integrity, and accessibility of data used across strategic reporting and performance reviews, regardless of audience.

Qualifications:

  • 8-12 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or FP&A; experience supporting GTM or marketing functions is a major plus.
  • Deep expertise in Power BI, Power Apps, SQL, Databricks, Snowflake and advanced Excel; experience building and owning data pipelines required.
  • Fluency with LLMs, AI-enabled analytics, and agentic workflows, with demonstrated application to accelerate insight generation and decision-making.
  • Proven success in owning data and analytics for multi-market or geographically dispersed programs.
  • Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to synthesize profitability metrics, operational KPIs, and marketing performance into clear recommendations.
  • BA/BS in data analysis, analytics, or related field; advanced degree in analytics preferred.
  • Solid understanding of business products and services; familiarity with telecoms and network architecture is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, project management, and leadership skills; desire to continue getting challenged and growing.
  • Ability to think analytically and move quickly in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.

Our Principal, Advanced Analytics earns between $158,200 - $237,400 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
