The Opportunity
The Hematology Squad has a robust product portfolio and a corresponding broad internal and external customer universe, inclusive of two collaboration partners. The Hematology Operations and Administration team supports the Hematology Squad in designing, delivering, and supporting the business, people and Network as they deliver on their ambitions and intended outcomes of the Hematology marketing strategy. Delivering on the vision and ambitions of the Hematology Squad to meet the needs of patients and other customers will require strategic and coordinated operations across multiple stakeholders.
In this position, the primary focus will be providing dedicated support to the Hematology Squad Leader and Hematology Squad, with ad-hoc support to Marketing Teams, as needed. This role is a member of the Hematology Squad Operations and Administration team, and partners closely to coordinate and ensure efficient workflow and communications. The Principal Administrative Business Partner will also engage with various stakeholders across the CMG organization, and be a key contributor to the Commercial Portfolio Organization’s (CPO) Operations and Administration Community, fostering collaboration, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and enhancing efficiencies.
This role will be entrusted with autonomy in handling complex assignments, seeking guidance when needed. This individual will possess a growth mindset, organizational savviness, thrive on action and find practical solutions. The ability to prioritize effectively and realize impactful outcomes will be vital to success in this role. This individual embraces new ways of working, the CMG Operating Principles and actively contributes to a culture of continuous learning and innovation. This professional must be creative and adaptable to unique and changing situations, be a self-starter, goal-oriented, know how to prioritize, and organize cross-functional partners. They must demonstrate appropriate resource sensitivity and have as a primary objective the fulfillment of our CMG priorities.
Job Responsibilities:
Advanced Logistics & Event Management: Independently managing complex, multi-time-zone calendars for senior leadership and external stakeholders. Leading the end-to-end execution (venues, AV, catering, contracts) for Global Summits, Town Halls, Congress events, and department-wide offsites. Overseeing complex interview processes and managing the first 30 days of the onboarding journey.
Strategic Communications & Digital Tools: Managing departmental "gSites," newsletters, and digital spaces, including content collection and distribution. Drafting high-level email communications and partnering with leaders to design and track communication strategies.
Organizational Culture & Special Projects: Serving as a "thought partner" to leadership to gauge employee morale and suggest ideas for enhancing engagement. Acting as the primary liaison between internal leadership and external partner organizations to ensure seamless operations.
Financial & Vendor Oversight: Managing the RFP process, vendor selection, and the execution of speaker agreements and payments. Stepping into a leadership role within the admin community to streamline processes and mentor peers.
Who You Are
You have a bachelors degree and 5+ years of relevant work experience.
Proven ability to independently drive decision-making, prioritize complex workflows across functional groups, and meet high-level organizational objectives.
In-depth expertise in cSuite Tools (Google Workspace, Trello, Zoom) and Microsoft Tools with the ability to train other staff and implement innovative tools to improve efficiency.
A demonstrated track record of managing highly sensitive, proprietary information with expert judgment and professional discretion.
Ability to foster a productive team climate, resolve complex conflicts, and integrate input from various parts of the organization to improve systems and procedures.
Preferred
Experience in the pharma industry
This role is based on South San Francisco and offers a hybrid schedule working 3 days per week on campus.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $89,700 – $166,700 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
