About You
You are passionate about web development, frontend engineering, and crafting beautiful user interfaces and experiences with modern web technologies. You look for ways to grow your skill set and value high quality application development on modern tech stacks in the cloud. You are interested in how best to drive tasks to completion, collaborate to achieve your goals, think through scenarios and edge cases, learn from your leadership, and understand the broader impact of your work. You will work closely with the product and design teams to plan, experiment and release features in collaboration with other engineering partners and business stakeholders. Responsibilities
Responsible for the definition, design, development and timely completion of major new features in current and future products
Perform code reviews for your peers where you will be learning from and contributing to a collaborative working model
Develop, design, and maintain simple, intuitive, and feature-rich dynamic interfaces and components, providing an optimized and responsive experience for users
Collaborate with user experience designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver new features, enhancements, platform improvements and bug fixes
Collaborate with other engineers to write testable, reliable code, continuously deploying to production systems
Drive and enforce modern web application technologies, processes, and methodologies to continually craft and improve applications for speed, usability, performance, scalability, and maintainability
Drive adoption of industry standards for building user interfaces including accessibility, internationalization, performance optimization, SEO, cross-browser compatibility, caching, etc
Develop and promote a library of reusable web components as part of a larger design system
Monitor, analyze, and improve the performance and responsiveness of web applications, components, and infrastructure
Qualifications
BS in Computer Science, or equivalent degree/experience
5+ years experience developing user interfaces for large scale applications
Deep technical knowledge of web application development with strong command of browser-side client technologies including AJAX, HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript and object-oriented Javascript
Passion for delivering products end-to-end; from ideation through planning and scoping to implementation and experimental A/B testing
Expertise with modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Next, Vue, Svelte, etc
Experience with full stack JavaScript development with Node, Express, Next, Fastify, etc
Experience with test driven development, functional testing, and unit test/UI test frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, Selenium, Puppeteer, etc
Experience with cloud services, infrastructure, and serverless on common platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, etc
Experience and knowledge of best practices around CI/CD (build, document, test, deploy)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven history of being able to work and collaborate effectively with non-technical team members and stakeholders in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with mobile web development and responsive design
Experience with SCRUM or similar agile development methodology
