Fuels Supply, Pricing, & Market Execution is part of the Fuels Value Chain, a cross-functional organization integral to maximizing the commercial performance of MPC. The North/South Pricing team oversees Brand and Wholesale gas and diesel rack pricing at ~250 terminals across 32 states. The successful candidate will serve as a Pricing Specialist within the North Division, working closely with business partners within the Fuels Value Chain team to develop and implement strategies to optimize corporate value.
Executes core functions supporting the rollout and utilization of a rack sales platform across North and South markets, including defining strategies, establishing volume and price formulas, and conducting post-audit analysis.
Conducts back-up pricing for other commodities, classes of trade, and geographies.
Collaborates with key business partners to execute short- and long-term strategies to maximize value chain contribution.
Collaborates with Commercial Market teams to actively optimize sales vs. forecast. Supports growth and fulfills profitable product placement opportunities.
Monitors market conditions, trends, and competitor pricing activity, and reacts to execute daily operational functions in alignment with strategies.
Assesses Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for pricing functions. Performs ad hoc analysis and communicates insights to management/operational teams.
Efficiently utilizes Pricing systems and tools. Troubleshoots issues and collaborates with support partners to resolve promptly. Works with business partners to pursue enhancements and process improvements.
Provides back-up support on system set-ups for New Product Realization (NPRs), seasonal commodity changes, and other data to support system functionality.
Provides 24/7 on-call support on a scheduled basis.
