Pricing Manager – FTL & LTL

As a Pricing Manager for FTL & LTL Transport, you will play a key role in driving product growth through competitive and strategic pricing. You will ensure profitability by managing pricing structures, supporting procurement strategies, and leveraging market insights. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of the FTL/LTL market, and the ability to influence commercial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain pricing strategies for FTL and LTL products aligned with Maersk’s growth objectives.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitor pricing, and opportunities for margin improvement.
  • Manage PnL performance for FTL/LTL products, ensuring profitability and cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to provide competitive quotes and pricing guidance.
  • Support strategic procurement activities, including supplier negotiations and cost benchmarking.
  • Monitor and analyse customer behaviour, freight rates, and market dynamics to adjust pricing models proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with Maersk’s global pricing governance and policies.
  • Drive digital pricing initiatives and contribute to automation projects for efficiency.

Requirements

  • Completed commercial vocational training in freight forwarding and logistics services (e.g., Freight Forwarding Clerk) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in FTL/LTL pricing or transport management.
  • Strong understanding of FTL/LTL market dynamics, carrier networks, and procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with European transport regulations (e.g., CMR Convention, ADR for dangerous goods, GDP compliance for pharma logistics).
  • Comfort with digital freight platforms and pricing automation tools, with an ability to leverage technology for efficiency and accuracy
  • Good understanding of PnL and financial analysis principles, with the ability to interpret and apply insights to pricing decisions.
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and pricing tools; knowledge of digital freight platforms is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken).
