Job Description Summary
The Pricing Associate is responsible for supporting and executing pricing activities across the product lifecycle (≈70% of role), while acting as POP Owner with accountability for the governance, execution, and compliance of Patient Support Programs (PSPs) (≈30% of role). The role ensures pricing consistency, financial discipline, and patient access, while maintaining full compliance with internal standards, local regulations, and pharmacovigilance requirements.
Job Description
1. Pricing & Value Support (≈70%)
Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of pricing strategies in alignment with market access, value, and affiliate objectives.
Prepare and maintain pricing analyses, business cases, and internal pricing documentation to support launches, lifecycle management, and pricing revisions.
Ensure accurate setup and maintenance of prices in relevant commercial and financial systems.
Support price change processes, including updates related to tenders, discounts, rebates, or regulatory-driven revisions.
Collaborate closely with Market Access, Finance, Legal, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment and compliance of pricing decisions.
Contribute to pricing governance reviews, audits, and internal controls.
Monitor and track pricing execution versus approved conditions and escalate risks or deviations when identified.
Provide pricing input for forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning exercises.
Pricing database management
Maintain and update pricing records, ensure accuracy, support pricing analytics and reimbursement submissions
2. POP Owner / PSP Management (≈30%)
Act as POP Owner with full accountability for the design, governance, documentation, execution, and monitoring of Patient Support Programs (PSPs).
Ensure all PSP activities comply with local laws and regulations, pharmacovigilance (PV) requirements, and internal Novartis standards.
Coordinate with the POP Champion, Pharmacovigilance Responsible (PVR), Legal, Compliance, and Quality to ensure program integrity and risk mitigation.
Oversee External Service Providers (ESPs) involved in PSP execution, including performance monitoring, documentation, and issue resolution.
Ensure timely review and follow‑up of KPIs, deviation management, CAPAs, and audit findings related to PSPs.
Support internal and external audits and inspections related to POP/PSP activities.
Ensure appropriate documentation, approvals, and handovers are in place throughout the PSP lifecycle.
Act as a key interface between patient services, market access, and compliance to support sustainable and compliant patient access.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Health Economics, Business, or related field.
Experience in pricing, market access, value & access, or finance within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
Exposure to Patient Support Programs (PSP) / POP governance is a strong asset.
Good understanding of pricing governance, compliance, and PV implications.
Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder‑management skills.
Ability to work in a cross‑functional and highly regulated environment.
High attention to detail, compliance mindset, and structured working approach.
