We are seeking a Preventative Maintenance Mechanic to join our Ranson, WV factory.

Shift: 6:00am - 4:00pm (4 10 hour days – open to discussion)

Pay Rate: $36/hour +

Your future team:

Within the walls of a manufacturing facility, there are few roles more critical than those that support operational uptime. As a PM Mechanic at ROCKWOOL you will be responsible for PM of our state-of-the-art equipment and advanced troubleshooting in your assigned area. Overseeing the performance and upkeep of machinery from our stone wool production line, this is a fast-paced and exciting environment where efficiency and ensuring as little downtime as possible are the priority. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the PM Mechanic will be expected to provide service and support for all company equipment, from small to large, simple to complex, within budgeted costs, in the continuous pursuit of plant improvements.

 What you will be doing:

  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections to ensure equipment remains clean and in good working order using mechanical skills to minimize production line downtime.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, investigate and resolve mechanical issues on equipment in assigned area while documenting all work performed to establish trends for a more proactive maintenance approach.
  • Complete equipment and industrial machinery repairs and parts replacement when required while maintaining a stock of tools, parts and supplies needed to manage day-to-day maintenance.
  • Adhere to established ROCKWOOL high-quality and environmental standards to identify and mitigate/escalate quality or environmental risks/issues.
  • Successfully structure priorities through Daily Direction Setting working closely with operations teams and effective escalation of issues to the Maintenance Supervisor, performing maintenance work during off-peak hours when possible for production to continue efficiently.

What you bring:

  • 2 year degree or relevant certification or work experience.
  • 5 years’ practical experience in a continuous flow manufacturing or industrial environment and working with automated equipment required.
  • Welding, hydraulic, pneumatic and conveying systems experience required.
  • Grow and develop the team by sharing knowledge / experience.
