Re:Build Composite Resources (CR), a Re:Build Manufacturing, LLC company, is an innovative, rapidly growing manufacturer of thermoset composite components and tooling. Current operations are located in Rock Hill, SC, with a large facility expansion underway. We plan for Composite Resources to grow to more than $100MM in annual revenue through further expansion in Rock Hill and/or acquisition in the next few years. Who we are looking for

We seek a highly experienced transformational leader who has successfully driven organizational, cultural, and operational transformation and growth within composites manufacturing environments. Based in Rock Hill, SC and reporting to our Chief Operating Officer, as President you will lead the business as we continue the rapid growth of our scale, product and customer mix, facilities footprint, and team members.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in both low-mix/higher-volume and high-mix/low-volume production, with a proven ability to scale operations, mature production systems, and elevate engineering capability in a rapidly growing business. They will have significant experience leading a P&L, operational experience with manufacturing at scale, strong business acumen, a continuous improvement mentality, and excellent coaching and motivational skills. They will understand what it takes to successfully leverage front-end engineering teams within composites or advanced materials manufacturing, with the ability to translate customer requirements into robust production processes while increasing throughput, improving quality, and strengthening cross-functional collaboration.

What you get to do

• Lead the continued build out of Composite Resources’ manufacturing and engineering capacity and capabilities to support growth. This includes outfitting, establishing, and scaling production at CR’s second, higher volume facility in Rock Hill.
• Manage the P&L. Develop budgets, financial plans, capacity planning, and performance metrics, giving regular updates on progress and critical path items. Own ongoing business-wide performance KPIs and metrics and use them to drive improvement in operating performance and financial margins.
• Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team with a strong, positive operating culture, including Engineering, Operations, Technical Development, Quality, Finance, and Human Resources.
• Lead the engineering team to efficiently take design concepts and customer requirements all the way to highly efficient production.
• Develop and deploy operational strategies, priorities, production systems, workflows, and performance metrics to ensure safety, quality, delivery, cost (SQDC), and profitability objectives are met.
• Leverage Lean operating principles and tools to reinforce an operating culture of engagement, problem solving, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement.
• Support the execution of commercial strategies to drive growth, including partnership with business development resources to develop and manage lasting customer engagements.
• Help shape business expansion strategy and planning. Support acquisition due diligence efforts.
• Provide leadership and management of Re:Builders to ensure effective selection, development, retention, and performance management of team members.
• Develop and implement effective communication and engagement strategies to ensure teams are informed, aligned, and motivated to accomplish objectives.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence aligned with the Principles of The Re:Build Way.

What you bring to the team

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field required; advanced degree (MBA, MS Engineering) preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive leadership within advanced manufacturing, with significant time spent in composites manufacturing or advanced materials preferred.
• Prior P&L ownership, with strong financial acumen and the capability to drive margin improvements through operational transformation.
• Demonstrated success leading engineering teams and scaling production organizations in both low-mix/high-volume and high-mix/low-volume settings.
• Deep understanding of composite manufacturing processes, materials, tooling, automation, quality systems, production workflows and supply chains.
• Track record as a transformational leader - successfully improving culture, systems, processes, and cross-functional alignment.
• Experience with Lean operating principles, methods, and tools to drive continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
• High emotional intelligence and strong communication skills, with the ability to influence, foster trust, coach leaders, and cultivate a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
• Ability to lead with clarity in fast-paced, highly technical, and entrepreneurial environments.
• This role is based on-site in Rock Hill, SC, with flexibility to travel as needed.
