Predictive Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

Position Summary: As an integral member of the Maintenance Team, the Predictive Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing condition based monitoring to make proactive decisions to ensure asset reliability and improve production uptime. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to become certified in forklift, overhead crane operation, LOTO, chemical handling and aerial lift.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Applications. 

  • Good mathematical and administrative skills. 

  • Clear and concise oral/written communication skills.This position is an integral member of the Maintenance Team. The Predictive Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing condition based monitoring to make proactive decisions to ensure asset reliability  and improve production uptime.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Performs predictive maintenance inspections and data collection on assets using PdM technology such as vibration analysis, infrared imaging and ultrasound.

    • Measures and performs laser alignment on shafts and belt sheaves. Adjusts as required utilizing shims and other steps to achieve precision alignment of assets. 

    • Measures and performs balancing of spindles, fans and other assets utilizing a tachometer and balancing software.

    • Performs leak detection of air and gas utilizing ultrasonic technology.

    • Analyzes collected data from PdM inspections, sensors and oil analysis to report findings and makes recommendations of corrective maintenance. Uses data to specifically identify required corrective maintenance and specifically identifies the issue such as misalignment, looseness, bearings failure, etc.

    • Develops and prepares reports to notify operations and maintenance of equipment health to recommend proactive maintenance.

    • Determines assets that require oil analysis performed. 

    • Collaborates with Maintenance Planning to determine and recommend where PDM technology inspections and proactive maintenance are required.

    • Works closely with Maintenance Technicians, Operations and Reliability Engineers using PdM technology to provide technical support and trouble shooting to solve asset issues.

    • Performs root cause failure analysis, creates failure analysis reports and provides recommendations on corrective actions for defect elimination on recurring problematic assets.

    • Performs other responsibilities assigned by leadership as necessary.

    • Recommended revisions to the testing, analysis , and reporting process which facilitates increased profitability through improved quality, cost reductions and /or development of new growth opportunities.

    • Utilizes a CMMS by accurately entering labor hours, materials issued, work log communication, and requesting corrective maintenance based on priority.

Qualifications and Skills:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Applications .

    • Good mathematical and administrative skills.

    • Clear and concise oral/written communication skills.

    • Good organization, planning and multi-tasking skills.

    • Ability to read/understand technical manuals, prints and drawings.

    • 5 years experience in skilled trades 

    • 2 year Technical degree 

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Vibration Analysis 

    • Infrared Imaging 

    • Ultrasonic Inspection 

    • Laser Alignment experience

    • EAM/CMMS experience

    • Strong mechanical aptitude 

    • Precision maintenance

    • Data Analysis

    • loT experience 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Technician 2 year degree

  • Experience: 5 years work experience in skilled trades 

  • Systems: Basic computer experience

Physical Requirements: 

    • Work at varying heights, including on the rooftop of the buildings

    • Lift up to 60 lbs.

    • Push/pull 100 lbs.

    • Stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaks

    • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria 

    • Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises 

    • Work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions 

    • Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift 

    • Bend over multiple times throughout shift 

Task Based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements: 

    • Safety harness 

    • Steel toed boots

    • Hearing Protection 

    • Safety glasses

    • Cut-proof gloves

    • Respirator 

    • Face shield 

    • High visibility vest

    • Respirator (employees who are required to wear a respirator must maintain a clean-shaven face in the area where the respirator seals to the skin.)


 

Cambria’s starting hourly range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00. Hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
