We’re hiring a Preboarding Specialist at our Corporate Headquarters in Columbia, MO, and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. 

The Preboarding Specialist facilitates the onboarding process for new hires, including I-9 processing, HRIS system enrollment, and setting up necessary accounts. This role requires excellent customer service, organizational skills, and adaptability to a fast-paced, evolving environment. The specialist works closely with hiring managers and the recruitment team to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Process onboarding packets from recruitment team
  • Facilitate I-9 processing with hiring managers
  • Serve as customer service for HRIS system enrollment with new employees.
  • Help with ordering of new hire swag kits, business cards and credit cards. 
  • Upload necessary agreements into the HRIS system for storage. 
  • Set up emails and email groups for prospective employees
  • Work with hiring managers across the country on other onboarding tasks
  • Craft emails and policies for new hires

Skills & Qualifications 

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Have great follow-through 
  • Ability to calmly tackle daily challenges
  • Must have attention to detail and be highly organized. 
  • Knowledge of Google Suite (email, sheets etc.)
  • Ability to use spreadsheets with ease
  • Not afraid to learn new techniques and work in a constantly changing environment
  • Must be ok with change - every day is different!

Education and Experience: 

  • Past customer service experience required
  • Past work in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma, or GED

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
