The Inference and Agentic AI team operates as a cross functional unit spanning engineering, product, data science, business management, and sales, and owns the full lifecycle of AI solutions from opportunity discovery to deployment and scale.
Role Overview
Paytm is looking to hire Pre Sales Managers to support technical pre-sales and solutioning for Paytm’s AI Inference and Agentic AI products across enterprise clients.
This role will report to the Pre Sales Lead and work closely with enterprise sales teams to bring product depth, technical understanding, demos, and solutioning support into client conversations.
The role involves understanding client requirements, mapping them to Paytm AI capabilities, supporting demos and POCs, and helping sales teams answer technical and product queries from client stakeholders.
The candidate will act as a key bridge between sales, product, engineering, and client teams to ensure enterprise opportunities are scoped clearly and converted into feasible solutions.
The role requires strong technical understanding, client facing communication, solutioning ability, and interest in AI agents, enterprise systems, integrations, and automation use cases.
Key Responsibilities
Client Discovery and Requirement Understanding Support discovery sessions with enterprise clients to understand business goals, current systems, workflows, data sources, and automation needs.
Capture client requirements and translate them into clear use cases, solution notes, and implementation inputs.
Identify integration needs, data dependencies, technical constraints, and feasibility considerations.
Work with sales teams to shape client specific narratives and product positioning.
Document client requirements clearly for internal product, engineering, onboarding, and business teams.
Technical Pre Sales and Client SupportSupport enterprise sales teams in client meetings by answering product, technical, integration, data, and architecture related queries.
Explain Paytm AI product capabilities, workflows, deployment approach, data requirements, and integration models in simple business language.
Participate in client workshops, solutioning discussions, and technical review meetings.
Help clients understand expected impact, effort, timelines, dependencies, and success metrics.
Support the Pre Sales Lead in preparing for CXO and senior stakeholder meetings.
Demos, POCs, and Solution Prototypes
Prepare and deliver tailored product demos for enterprise clients based on use case, industry, and client needs.
Work with product and engineering teams to configure demo environments, prototypes, and POC setups.
Support definition of POC scope, success criteria, data requirements, timelines, and evaluation metrics.
Track POC progress, capture feedback, and coordinate issue resolution with internal teams.
Convert demo and POC learnings into sharper solution notes and product feedback.
Proposal and Sales Enablement S
upportCreate solution notes, integration flows, demo scripts, technical FAQs, and proposal inputs for enterprise opportunities.
Support responses to RFPs, client questionnaires, security reviews, and technical due diligence requests.
Build reusable pre sales assets such as use case libraries, objection handling notes, demo walkthroughs, and client facing FAQs.
Help train enterprise sales teams on product capabilities, technical basics, integration models, and demo narratives.
Ensure consistent and accurate communication of Paytm AI capabilities across client conversations.
Product Feedback and Cross Functional CoordinationCapture structured feedback from clients on product capabilities, integrations, usability, reporting, and adoption barriers.
Work with product and engineering teams to convert recurring client asks into roadmap inputs and solution improvements.
Coordinate with client onboarding teams to ensure smooth handoff from pre sales to implementation.
Collaborate with business, sales, product, engineering, security, legal, and onboarding teams to close open requirements.
Maintain a clear tracker of open client asks, demo feedback, POC progress, and solutioning dependencies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
3 to 6 years of experience in pre sales, solution consulting, solutions engineering, product consulting, implementation consulting, customer success, or enterprise technology roles.
Experience working with enterprise clients in SaaS, AI, automation, CRM, marketing technology, cloud, data platforms, fintech, or enterprise software.
Good understanding of APIs, system integrations, data flows, enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and product implementation cycles.
Ability to understand client business problems and translate them into clear solution approaches.
Strong client facing communication skills with comfort in both technical and business discussions.
Experience supporting demos, POCs, proposals, RFPs, client questionnaires, or technical workshops.
Ability to work closely with sales, product, engineering, security, legal, and onboarding teams.
High ownership mindset with ability to operate in fast moving and ambiguous environments.
Interest in AI agents, LLMs, automation, analytics, and enterprise digital transformation.
Skills and Qualifications
Strong solutioning and technical pre sales skills for enterprise technology products.
Good understanding of APIs, databases, CRM systems, data pipelines, cloud platforms, and enterprise integrations.
Ability to create solution notes, integration flows, POC plans, demo scripts, and technical proposal inputs.
Strong communication and presentation skills for client workshops and technical discussions.
Ability to explain AI and automation concepts in simple business language.
Strong problem solving skills with ability to structure ambiguous client requirements.
Comfort with tools such as Google Slides, Google Sheets, diagramming tools, CRM tools, and AI enabled productivity tools.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. MBA or technical postgraduate degree is a plus.
Educational Qualification
Must have: Bachelor's degree from Tier 1 institutions such as IITs, SRCC, St. Stephen’s, etc.
Good to have: MBA from Tier 1 institutions such as IIM A, B, C or ISB.
