Join our team as a Pre-Planner and play a key role in ensuring smooth, efficient, and customer-focused operations across our Quarry Products business. Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this role is to support customers and the business by delivering high-quality service in the most cost-effective, professional, and timely manner.
You will handle sales enquiries, quotations, orders, deliveries, and associated administration, ensuring an excellent customer experience while supporting the operational needs of Heidelberg Materials Quarry Products.
Key Accountabilities
Health & Safety
Ensure full compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, Local Managers Rules, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.
Promote safe working practices and uphold the highest standards of safety across all activities under your control.
Operational Coordination
Liaise closely with colleagues, the Unit Manager, suppliers, and contractors to ensure efficient programming of the plant and production of aggregates.
Support operational planning to maintain cost‑effective and timely production.
Assist in coordinating resource use, including labour, material, and plant requirements.
Supervision & Efficiency
Contribute to the continuous supervision of quarry-related activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Help drive productivity by supporting effective utilisation of all available resources.
Customer Service & Administration
Provide timely and accurate information to customers regarding enquiries, quotations, orders, and delivery schedules.
Ensure all administration tasks are completed accurately and in line with business processes.
Professional Growth
Engage in Continuous Professional Development (CPD), including training courses and seminars as identified by Heidelberg Materials.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge to perform the role effectively and confidently.
