Too good to go

PR Manager - 6 Month Maternity Cover

Paris, Paris, France Full Time

At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious mission: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together.

More than 1/3 of all food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet. 10% of greenhouse gas emissions come from food waste and loss.

Through our marketplace app, we connect businesses that have unsold, surplus food, with consumers who can buy and enjoy it at ⅓ of retail value. We are a certified B Corporation with a mission to empower everyone to take action against food waste. Alongside our marketplace app, we create educational tools, explore new business solutions, and influence legislation to help reduce food waste.

We’re growing fast: Our community of 133 million registered users and 261,000+ active partners across 20 countries, have together already saved 517+ million meals from going to waste - avoiding almost 1,397,000 tonnes of CO2e!

Too Good To Go was named in Fast Company’s March 2022 list of the World's Most Innovative Companies, and was honored to be included in TIME’s list of the 100 Most Influential Companies of 2022.

Your mission:

The PR Manager will lead our Too Good To Go PR and communications strategy in France. The ambition is to serve as a strategic enabler of the business in France, helping to drive overall brand valuation and positive reputation externally.

To break through in today's busy working environment, ultra-cluttered agenda and media/social media environments, there is a clear advantage to company storytelling being narrative-driven versus ad-hoc and episodic, for external purposes.

Reporting to the Head of PR in Southern Europe (Fance-Italy-Spain-Portugal), this key PR manager will provide strategic Communications counsel to our Country Director, and business leaders in the market, and will operate the strategy in the market. It will be an adaptation of the Global Strategy and proactive activations due to local opportunities identified. The PR Manager will also work with a local PR agency and will be in charge of our LinkedIn strategy. The position is a mix between being a PR & communications leader who is a strategist, as well as a hands-on contributor, with focus on aligning an organisation's goals, values, motivations, and commitment to achieve shared success.

Your role

  • Build and implement press relation strategy in accordance with the marketing team and the Global PR strategy
  • Identify opportunities to share our mission with the public (and newsjacking)

  • Support and collaborate with the Public Affairs Manager
