YOUR MISSION
We’re looking for an experienced and strategic communications director to join the Activision Communications team.
The PR Director, Integrated Communications will play a key role in telling our stories and supporting our brands. This new, dynamic position will work across teams to help drive real-time communication strategies centered on the fast-moving pace of community dialogue and social conversation.
The position requires proven experience in shaping communications strategies, managing high-visibility escalations and working across social media platforms and tools. Strong collaboration and communication skills are vital, along with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, manage communications risk, and monitor real-time trends to deliver insightful and actionable analysis.
Sitting at the intersection of brand, culture and community, this role will help tell our stories while further defining how we meet the needs and interests of our players. Proven expertise in social-first PR communications, engagement-driven communications and experience with pop culture and/or consumer brands is highly valued. A passion for, or working experience with, video games is key. This is a full-time opportunity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Priorities can often change in an unfolding, fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Stay closely connected to emerging topics and dialogue across player communities, earned and own media, social media, and broader video game entertainment culture
Monitor real-time developments across social, community, and media landscapes to understand trends shaping conversation
Analyze conversation dynamics across owned, earned and additional channels to help identify potential communications considerations and opportunities
Partner cross-functionally to support timely, coordinated communication approaches during high-visibility moments and real-time, evolving conversations
Play an integral role in the development and execution of issues- and moment- driven communications initiatives, including identifying opportunities to engage in real-time with accurate, verified information and updates
Collaborate with team members to help share our stories and support through PR and communications various programs across key beats and milestones
Work closely with functional teams and agency partners to develop thoughtful, fact-based communications messaging and information programs
Coordinate with regional teams to support global readiness and support
Analyze and report on content and program performance to inform ongoing communications messaging optimization and continuous improvement
PLAYER PROFILE
10-12 years of experience in social media, PR, or communications roles within consumer brands, entertainment or cultural industries,
Strong understanding of digital ecosystems, multi-channel storytelling, brand reputation and how information and narratives evolve across platforms
Demonstrated ability to assess conversation patterns and understand how content gains traction across media and social environments, including identifying narrative clusters to inform decision making
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; highly-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
Extensive knowledge of social platforms and associated analytics tools, including platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, X / Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, and Reddit as well as enterprise tools such as Sprinklr, Opal, Confluence, JIRA, and Meltwater
Familiarity with third-party vendors, production partners, and external resources that support multi-channel storytelling and communications programs
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in unfolding and deadline-driven environments, real-time communications and brand storytelling
Experience working cross-functionally and/or with external agency partners
Experience reviewing analytics and performance data to interpret insights and inform decision-making
Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
Passion for gaming and/or knowledge of Call of Duty, a plus

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $120,600.00 - $223,110.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates, new hire compensation is negotiable.
