For this role we are looking for candidates with a broad platform HW knowledge, lab. debug and structured testing skills, knowledge of computing systems and SW architecture and fully passionate for getting the best performance from integrated systems, so the experimentation, analysis and validation work can be completed to obtain the top competitive solutions and translate those into a set of new best-in-class design requirements. Data extraction skills, client package knowledge and SW scripting skills are desirable.

The applicant should demonstrate strong discipline in all work areas, persistence in pursuing the best out of a computing system, One Intel resilient, self-driven and capable of dealing with ambiguity; additionally, should be minded for lab work (full on-site lab time).

The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • PnP Lab Engineer is responsible for measuring, testing and analyzing key performance and power indicators for architecture enhancements and optimizations.
  • Perform power measurements and analysis across several subsystems and domains using power measurement tools and logic analyzers.
  • Perform measurements and analysis on new proof of concepts, technology readiness for system level optimizations for performance and responsiveness using performance monitoring tools.
  • Ability to change configurations for testing and measurement with SOC, platform components, display panel, install different device drivers and firmware, and executing benchmark workloads.
  • Comprehend technical decomposition of Power, Performance and responsiveness indicators and its implications on different Client products architectures: CPU, GPU, NPU, IO among others.
  • Write test scripts as part of data execution and tasks improvements, to enable system level measurements and data analysis.
  • Be able to adapt AI into daily tasks.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.

 Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

  

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic, Electrical or Computing Systems Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years lab experience (or validation / debug field work).
  • Python, batch programing knowledge.
  • Proficiency in electrical fundamentals, and hardware architecture.
  • Technical understanding of CPU, GPU, NPU, and IO architecture implications on product designs.
  • Intermediate to advanced English communication skills (written and oral).
  • Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Costa Rica.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

  • C++
  • Proficiency power analysis.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality hardware solutions.
  • PC architecture knowledge main computer components and connection knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to test and analyze power and performance metrics.
  • Expertise in platform architecture for validation and debug.
  • Workload execution, benchmark, competitive analysis knowledge
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities to align stakeholders on design and validation objectives.
  • Data analysis and statistical knowledge
  • A passion for driving innovation and advancing technology in client product architectures.
