Dr. Yasemin Copur-Gencturk is seeking to hire a postdoctoral research associate to contribute to research aimed at enhancing and measuring teachers’ knowledge of numbers and operations relationships for teaching. The postdoctoral research associate will assist with developing learning and assessment materials, recruiting participants, collecting and analyzing data from multiple sites, writing research articles, and disseminating project outcomes. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a PhD in mathematics education or the learning sciences who has an understanding of the knowledge and skills involved in teaching and learning numbers and operations. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in developing learning materials and assessment items for teachers, coding data, conducting complex research studies, and managing data collection from multiple sites.

The annual base salary range for this position is $75,000-$80,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
