POSITION SPECIFICS
The Davenport Lab at The Pennsylvania State University is recruiting a Postdoctoral Scholar to work on the integration of host gene expression and microbiome data. We are looking for a scientist who is excited about the physiological mechanisms that link microbial abundance along the gut to host genetic variation. The selected scientist will contribute to data analysis of multi-omics data and manuscript writing. As such, we seek applicants with diverse and strong quantitative backgrounds, with necessary skills being in RNA-seq analysis, microbiome analysis, high-dimensional data analysis and statistics, and scientific writing.
Education and Experience: Successful applicants will have a Ph.D. in Biology, or a related field, strong writing skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
