What We Want
The Postdoctoral Research Associate is responsible for conducting research into their field of expertise. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will utilize the skills and expertise granted to them by their education and experience to complete research projects in their field of expertise. Writes and may contribute to research papers, articles, and publications. Assists with the preparation and cleaning of worksite. May collaborate with other researchers and/or faculty.
What you need to know
Salary: Starting salary is $50,570 annually. Please note this is a part-time position being hired at 75% FTE.

Position Details: Due to this position’s salary having all or a portion of it being funded by grants or contracts, the continuing salary and overall employment is contingent upon availability of these funds in the future.
Other Requirements and Factors:
Candidates will need to have completed their PhD by the start of employment.
This Postdoctoral Research Associate position will require approximately 100% effort dedicated to research activities, with an anticipated duration of one year, contingent upon project funding and performance.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
PhD in urban planning Geography, Public Health, Sociology, Public Policy, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Statistical and geospatial methods.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Presentation skills.
Analytical skills.
Attention to detail.
Demonstrated research experience in housing, hazards, environmental justice, community development, or related topics.
Strong record (or emerging record) of scholarly publications and research productivity.
Experience with quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods research design.
Ability to work effectively with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and supervise graduate students.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Essential Duties/Tasks
Research
Under general supervision, is responsible for conducting research into their field of expertise.
Utilizes knowledge and skills granted to them by their education and expertise to complete research projects in their field of expertise.
Assists with the preparation and cleaning of worksite.
Analyzes research data and summarizes results.
Writes and may contribute to research papers, articles, and publications.
Conduct original, independent, and collaborative research that advances CoHHS’s mission.
Contribute to research reports, white papers, peer-reviewed journal articles, and grant proposals.
Lead data collection, quantitative and/or qualitative analysis, and synthesis of findings.
Mentoring
Writes and may contribute to research papers, articles, and publications.
Mentor and supervise graduate research assistants working on CoHHS-related projects.
Presentations
Prepares presentation materials on research topic that may be presented to small and/or large groups.
Actively participates in the preparation of required technical progress reports to research sponsors.
Present research at academic conferences, community meetings, and partner-agency briefings.
