What we want
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our dynamic research team focused on advancing knowledge in infectious diseases. In this role, you will conduct cutting-edge investigations into host-pathogen interactions across multiple ongoing projects. Areas of focus include viruses, bacteriophages, tuberculosis, mycobacteria, and other respiratory pathogens.

Location: Bryan, TX
Schedule: Full-Time--This position may require work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends.

Required education and experience
Ph.D. in a relevant field such as Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Virology, or a closely related discipline.
Preferred qualifications
PhD, D.V.M. and/or M.D.
Record of productive experience in immunology, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology of pathogens preferred.
Responsibilities
Research
Conducts independent research on mycobacterial, viral, and other respiratory pathogens, and publication of results.
Designs, develops, and conducts research experiments.
Evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques and procedures.
Research Data
Collects, compiles, organizes, and analyzes data.
Documents, summarizes, and interprets results.
Maintains experimental records and documentation.
Writing
Participates and assists with the preparation of manuscripts, grants, and publications of scientific data in peer-revised journals based on research.
Collaboration
Attends laboratory meetings and departmental seminars.
Interfaces with collaborators to advance projects.
Participates in projects involving lab personnel.
