About the Opportunity
The successful candidate will contribute to an ambitious project developing perceptual AI agents that assist humans in daily activities through behavioral understanding and multimodal interaction. Our research aims to bridge the gap between visual perception and actionable assistance, with applications including:
· Video-based skill coaching and instruction
· Assistive technologies for individuals with visual impairments
· AI-driven physical therapy and rehabilitation systems
· Human-robot interaction and coordination
Responsibilities:
Perform research.
Prepare and write research papers, presentations, grant proposals.
Train Graduate Students.
Qualifications:
PhD in Computer Science or related field (completed or near completion)
Strong publication record with multiple first-author papers at premier venues (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, BMVC, NeurIPS, ICLR, PAMI, IJCV) within the past 3 years
Deep expertise in video understanding, including current state-of-the-art methods, datasets, and challenges
Proven experience with:
Video data processing for learning and inference
Deep learning architectures for video analysis
Python programming and PyTorch framework
Preferred expertise in one or more areas: video-language models, egocentric perception, embodied AI
