The College o Engineering’s Department of Materials Science and Engineering is seeking a Post Doctoral Scholar to work under the supervision of Dr. Heather Powell. The Post Doctoral Scholar will be responsible for developing and optimizing protocols for quantitative skin heath assessment on amputee subjects.  The Post Doctoral Scholar will analyze data, create figures and write manuscripts. The Post Doctoral Scholar will assist with murine surgeries and cell culture studies.

Required Education:

PhD in Materials Science and Engineering or equivalent

Required Experience:

Must be familiar with skin health data collection on humans and have completed CITI training for human subjects research. Must have murine skin grafting skills and be certified for animal surgery.

Desired Experience:

Scaffold fabrication and cell culture experience
