The Department of African American and African Studies invites applications for a Post Doctoral Scholar position that will be based on the Columbus campus. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • 60% Conduct independent research in [specific research area].
  • 20% Write papers for refereed publication.
  • 10% Present research results at conferences and workshops.
  • 5% Mentor and educate graduate and undergraduate students.
  • 5% Collaborate with other researchers to develop new research directions.

Required Education:

  • Doctorate (Academic) with a Major in African -American and African Studies, History or a related field.  

Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in African-American and African Studies or a related field by the time of appointment.
  • Demonstrated record of accomplishments in historical research

Additional Information:

African American and African Studies within the College of Arts and Sciences seeks a Post Doctoral Scholar.  The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university, hosting 81 majors, 38 departments, 20+ world-class research centers, and more than 2,000 faculty and staff members.
