Summary of Job Duties:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented postdoctoral researcher to play a key role in a newly funded R01 study using wearable sensors and real-time data to support smoking cessation in women. This position contributes to a fully remote, national clinical trial examining hormonal and digital biomarkers that predict quitting success. The researcher will be involved in all phases of the study, including recruitment, intervention delivery, data management, analysis, and dissemination. The role leverages innovative methods such as wearable technology, remote biospecimen collection, and biochemically verified outcomes. It offers strong opportunities for growth in advanced statistical analysis, scientific writing, and grant development within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. Mentorship will be provided by Dr. Alicia Allen at the Arkansas Children’s Research Institute.


Qualifications:

Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Science or related field of study is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage all regulatory documentation.

  • Onboard, train, and supervise study staff on a day-to-day basis.

  • Contribute to all aspects of data collection, including but not limited to recruiting, enrolling, and retaining study participants, as well as participating in the data collection, integration, and management efforts.

  • Receive biological samples from study participants, store samples, and ship samples to commercial laboratories for assay.

  • Monitor smoking cessation intervention delivery and conduct quality control checks on study data.

  • Coordinate study operations such as team meetings, study supplies, participant payments, and preparing reports

  • Conduct literature reviews.

  • Prepare drafts of abstracts, presentations, posters, and manuscripts.

  • Collaborate with co-authors to incorporate revisions.

  • Circulate and promote final products with key partners.

  • Assist in the identification of applicable funding opportunities.

  • Complete literature reviews.

  • Assist with the drafting and revising of grant applications.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
