The Marketing and Communications Office is a dedicated team of professional services staff committed to inspiring people to choose Murdoch. Through strategic brand, marketing, and communications initiatives, we enhance the University’s reputation, drive growth, and lead international communications. Our team shares the achievement of Murdoch’s academics, researchers, staff, and students with the University community and audiences both locally and globally.
Your New Role!
Reporting to the Acquisition Marketing Manager, the Marketing and Communications Officer develops content that supports marketing initiatives and aligns with the University’s broader strategies. This role is dedicated to support the schools of Allied Health, Education and Nursing to deliver strategic communications, drive staff and student engagement, enhances the school’s reputation within higher education and industry, and increases program visibility to prospective students.
Working closely with the Head of College (Pro Vice Chancellor) and Heads of Schools (Deans), and guided by the University’s overarching marketing framework, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator designs and implements tailored strategies to elevate the School profiles across the University and wider community.

Selection Criteria
Essential
1. A tertiary degree with some experience in marketing, content creation or community management
2. Good writing, storytelling, and content production skills
3. Ability to think creatively to deliver new content ideas
4. Experience with video production and editing
5. Experience with photography
Desirable
1. Previous experience in Higher Education and/or large organisations
What We Offer You!
This Fixed Term (5 Months) | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $79,017.00 – $88,012 (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.
