POS Training & Communications Coordinator

Reporting to the Senior Director of Training & Deployment, this role is responsible for identifying learner needs, designing, creating, and delivering original content for the Point of Sales System, as well as company-wide internal POS communication updates, alerts, and notifications.

While primarily focused on the Point of Sales System, this role requires interdepartmental partnership across all levels in the organization, addressing both business and leadership priorities. Additionally, this individual will partner with leadership on executing and maintaining the company communication needs regarding the POS system.

Job Functions

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive learning curriculum and communication structure and cadence for the POS system.
  • Collaborate with company leadership to align on common goals and enable our teams to execute to company sales goals.
  • Align POS training to the existing development programs already in use across the organization.
  • Escalate requests to the Senior Director of Training & Deployment for bandwidth assessment and alignment with strategy.
  • Share identified needs as part of broader assessments with key players across teams including IT, Business Intelligence, and Operations.
  • Other duties as required by supervisor.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • 2-5 years of experience in learning and development
  • Strong technical abilities and/or general experience using customer-facing POS system(s)
  • Expertise in instructional design for in-person and virtual learning, including curriculum development, video editing, and data analysis
  • Exceptional writing skills and ability to translate technical documents to produce professional copy quickly
  • Strong project and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in tools such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Office 365, Teams, Articulate 360, Camtasia, Canva, and Constant Contact.
  • Flexible and positive attitude, willingness to partner with all areas of the business, and ability to learn and grow
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship
  • This role requires travel to Tidal Wave offices or locations as needed
