Salary:  $113,500 - $170,300, plus 10% annual bonus

The Data and Analytics organization at NiSource is the recently established advanced analytics arm of the company. We are building a talented team that is leveraging best-in-class tools and techniques to solve our company's highest value analytics use cases. As part of the Data and Analytics organization, the AI and Enablement team owns the AI strategy and tooling, as well as Power Platform (including Power BI). We empower teams across the organization to leverage tools and technology in pursuit of their goals, simplifying their work to free up time and focus on what really matters. 

As the Data and Analytics Portfolio Owner you will oversee the entire portfolio of business intelligence and data science products. In this role you will act as the primary liaison between Data Science, Business Intelligence, and business units, overseeing project lifecycles, facilitating collaboration between project teams, and ensuring projects meet their goals within time and budget constraints.

Additionally, the Data and Analytics Portfolio Owner defines and executes processes to improve the quality of products, track their value and impact over time, and enhance the team's ability to respond to changes or issues with the products.
 

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:  

  • Supports the complete portfolio of data science and business intelligence projects, ensuring that the broader team is delivering projects in accordance with requirements and milestones.

  • Establishing and maintaining a catalog of data science and business intelligence projects, supporting ongoing maintenance activities .

  • Defines and supports the intake process and measurement of value provided to the business.

  • Ensures measures are taken in projects to increase quality and mitigate risk, including risk analyses, impact assessment, needs assessment, requirements signoff, code reviews, test planning and execution, fallback plans, and deployment plans.

  • Maintains communication channels to facilitate engagement between D&A and the broader organization.

  • Measures and reports project/program performance, milestones, and other project information to stakeholders and management on a regular basis, including escalating issues that require management attention.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a project manager or portfolio owner


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years overseeing technical projects

  • 1+ year of business analyst experience

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI

  • Prior experience in Jira
