How will you make an impact?

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for driving marketing campaigns across Australia & New Zealand. Partnering with key internal stakeholders, you will plan and execute campaigns for a portfolio of products to maximise commercial success. You will have a passion for marketing and executing campaigns that both speak to our customers' needs and promote the Thermo Fisher Scientific brand.

Position Overview:

The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for designing and executing marketing campaigns. Collaborating closely with the product management team, the Marketing Specialist will translate strategic direction into impactful marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, generate leads, and support sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Campaign Development and Execution:

  • Design and implement comprehensive marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, events, sales activations etc.) to promote the assigned product portfolio.
  • Develop creative content and marketing materials, including emails, social media ads, sales collateral and advertisements.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with the product management team to understand strategic goals and product positioning.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., sales, communications, design) and external vendors to ensure cohesive and effective campaign execution.
  • Provide support and training to the sales team on new marketing initiatives and materials.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Stay up to date on the customer needs and competitive landscape.
  • Analyse campaign performance to assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Budget Management:

  • Manage marketing budget for the assigned product portfolio.
  • Track and report on budget expenditures.

Communication:

  • Regularly update key stakeholders on campaign progress and outcomes.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment and collaboration on marketing initiatives.

Performance Tracking:

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as MQO generation, Revenue generation and other campaign metrics.
  • Utilise analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and strategies.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Life Sciences or a related field (Advanced Degree preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, preferably within the scientific or healthcare industry
  • Proven track record in designing and executing successful marketing campaigns
  • Marketing certifications valued
  • Digital marketing experience across multiple channels (email, social, web, search)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns and programs
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with marketing analytics tools
  • Advanced analytical skills with ability to derive insights from campaign data and metrics
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent writing and content development capabilities
  • Knowledge of marketing compliance and brand guidelines
  • Demonstrated success achieving marketing KPIs and business results
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder management abilities
  • Travel may be required (10-15%)
