Portfolio Delivery Leader
The Portfolio Delivery Leader is accountable for collaborative design, driving alignment, and successful delivery of a prioritized portfolio roadmap. This role builds and maintains strong, trust-based relationships with key business stakeholders, ensuring that technology investments are aligned with strategic objectives and delivers measurable value.
Acting as a strategic partner to the business digital leader, the Portfolio Delivery Leader ensures the right teams, capabilities, and processes are in place to enable high impact, high-quality solutions. In partnership with Digital Leaders, this role champions an integrated, collaborative delivery model that strengthens business engagement, accelerates decision-making, and enhances transparency across the portfolio.
This position provides leadership and oversight for solution delivery leveraging advanced technologies including ensuring teams consistently apply AI and recent technology design best practices, standards, and methodologies. The Portfolio Delivery Leader is accountable for team performance, delivery excellence, and continuous improvement, fostering an environment of shared ownership, high quality outcomes, and operational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders to collaboratively shape portfolio roadmaps, prioritize initiatives based on business value, and ensure transparent visibility into delivery progress and effectiveness
- Lead high-performing, client-facing product teams in designing, implementing, supporting, and maintaining world-class custom solutions that seamlessly integrate with internal and external systems. Apply deep business knowledge of assigned lines of business, across lines of business or functional groups to ensure alignment with strategic goals. Drive accountability among leaders to identify and execute opportunities for streamlining delivery workflows through AI, automation, and modern delivery tools. Lead in-house and 3rd party teams on the synthesis of Cloud and hybrid platform offerings into first class solutions for RSM with a consistent focus on delivering high value, high quality solutions that are reliable and will scale to the growing needs of RSM and relevant practice
- Establish and oversee processes that enable teams to deliver high-value solutions reliably and collaboratively for RSM business and digital solutions teams. Standardize Agile and SAFe practices across all teams, while fostering leadership collaboration with Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers, and Agile Coaches to uphold SAFe principles and maximize velocity. Champion continuous improvement by driving enhancements in Agile and SAFe practices to optimize delivery efficiency and team performance.
- Oversee the execution of advanced products, AI and cloud platform development, governance processes, and manage expectations with stakeholders while continuing to advance the partnership with our business leaders through the priority focus of solving business problems. Identify leading practices around platform Security, Data Integrity, Service Quality, Scalability, Privacy, Risk Mitigation, Disaster Recovery, Control and Monitoring.
- Lead high performing teams ensure best practices; standards and policies are adhered to during the execution process. Lead process optimization efforts and provide regular performance
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in Software Engineering/Cloud/technology leadership role - Required
- Master of Science - Preferred
TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud architecture and administration
- Experience building on premise, off-premise and hybrid solutions
- Experience building business solutions with a strong understanding of business processes required
- Strong conceptual, analytic, and expert problem-solving skills
- An understanding of current development technologies
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing Agile SAFe development teams to deliver complex business solutions
- Motivated to work in a new and growing environment
- Strong mentoring and training skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and influence skills and conveys an approachable demeanor
EXPERIENCE
- 5 years’ experience leading matrixed delivery teams, building strategic roadmaps and providing effective business alignment
- Solution Development and Governance required
- 10 years’ experience building enterprise-class on-premise, off-premise and hybrid solutions required
- 5 years’ experience developing and maintaining policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines required
- Strong business knowledge in Audit, Tax, Consulting and/or internal functions of the firm required
- Strong experience in Agile SAFe
- Knowledge and experience with Application Lifecycle Management with Microsoft Team Foundation Server
- Experience presenting to C-level executive and Board of Director levels
- Proficiency in performing and reporting risk, business impact
- Knowledge of experience in developing and documenting cloud architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical and project plans.
- Knowledge and experience leading teams focused on Azure cloud and related cloud technologies
- Ability to determine when Customization, Development, or additional commercial products are required
- Hands on experience with large scale implementation(s) of Azure in an enterprise environment required, specifically around:
- Deploying applications for scale in Azure cloud
- Monitoring and support of Azure
- Disaster Recovery
- Performance tuning and optimization
LEADERSHIP SKILLS
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with business managers, IT engineering and IT operations staff
- Ability to influence without authority
- Ability to build strong relationships across lines of business, functional areas, and outside vendors
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively across the entire organization
- Ability to be a leader and SME of Cloud technologies for project and application development teams, management, and business personnel
- Ability to drive delivery, motivate team as well as provide input into achieving realistic timelines, roadmaps, and goals
- Strong leader: takes ownership, leads by example, creates, and motivates high-performing teams

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $215,800 - $381,700
Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
