About the Department:
O’Shaughnessy Asset Management (OSAM), part of Franklin Templeton, combines research-driven investing with advanced technology. The team delivers Custom Indexing through CANVAS, enabling advisors to create tailored portfolios in separately managed accounts. We collaborate in an entrepreneurial environment focused on innovation, transparency, and disciplined processes. Joining us means working with experts in quantitative investing, gaining exposure to global markets, and contributing to solutions that empower financial advisors and their clients.
You will monitor and improve daily and weekly investment model processes.
You will partner with portfolio managers to refine active and passive strategies.
You will run backtests to validate proposed portfolio changes.
You will implement programming solutions for portfolio management initiatives.
You will manage data pipelines, including ESG-related processes.
You will collaborate across investment teams to ensure seamless execution.
You will maintain clear documentation of investment processes for internal use.
Experience, Education & Certifications:
Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or Quantitative Finance.
Proficiency in Python and C#.
Experience with SQL and relational databases.
Familiarity with equity factor investing.
Technical Skills:
Strong background in data science and statistical modeling.
Knowledge of factor risk modeling and optimization techniques.
Understanding of passive index construction and ESG investing.
Soft Skills:
Clear and effective communication.
