About the Role
SNDL is looking for a dynamic candidate to support pricing and portfolio analysis and management within the Cannabis Operations division of the business. As a Pricing & Portfolio Specialist, you’ll help shape our national product pricing and portfolio decisions by turning data into actionable insights. You’ll support the Sales Strategy & Innovation team through analysis, reporting, and research to identify market opportunities, strengthen pricing processes, and contribute to new product planning.
This is an excellent role for someone with a strong business foundation who enjoys working with data, collaborating across teams, and connecting numbers to real commercial outcomes.

Scope of Role:
Accountable for Commercial – Pricing
- Analyze national and regional market pricing to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities across key categories.
- Support the review and approval process for pricing submissions, ensuring recommendations are backed by sound analysis and market intelligence.
- Manage all administrative tasks related to the pricing approval process with accuracy
- Monitor competitor pricing, promotional activity, and retail trends to inform internal pricing strategies.
- Conduct pricing analysis to support new product development, including target price setting and competitive benchmarking.
- Assist in the creation of clear, visually effective presentations and reports summarizing pricing insights for senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Accountable for Commercial – Portfolio
- Support the analysis and evaluation of new product ideas by consolidating market, consumer, and sales data to identify high-potential opportunities.
- Track and report on national portfolio performance to identify assortment gaps, cannibalization risks, and opportunities for optimization.
- Assist in building product roadmaps and innovation calendars through data-supported recommendations.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly portfolio performance reports and dashboards for Sales and leadership teams.
- Conduct market research and competitive scans to inform innovation direction and product mix decisions.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, economics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in an analytical, commercial, or business support role—preferably in cannabis, CPG, retail, or another regulated industry.
- Advanced Excel and Power BI skills, with the ability to transform and visualize large data sets.
- Familiarity with Power Query, Tableau, Salesforce, Nielsen, or HiFyre is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to balance analytical depth with business relevance.
- Excellent communication skills—able to synthesize data into concise, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally, particularly with Sales and Finance teams.
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn about the dynamics of pricing and product strategy.
