About The Team

The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Education) portfolio drives the University’s Student and Education Strategic Plan, aiming to deliver an exceptional student experience and graduate innovators ready for future careers. Its four priority areas are: innovative curriculum, academic leadership, inclusive education and student support, and digital experience. The Business Support Team provides administrative and project management support across these areas.

Your New Role!  

The Portfolio Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative, customer service, and operational support to the DVC Education Portfolio.

Your key responsibilities will include –

  • Administrative Support: Deliver front-line assistance, coordinate events, manage teaching materials and reports, support onboarding, and maintain webpages and communications.
  • Financial and Systems Administration: Handle purchasing, invoicing, and payments in line with budget forecasts; stay up-to-date with University systems and processes.
  • Collaboration and Compliance Partner with the Business Support Team, contribute to quality improvements, and ensure compliance with University policies, including equity and health & safety.

This Continuous | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $63,333.00 – $70,532.00 (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Completion of Year 12 or Cert III with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and training
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and University systems, with a willingness to elarn new software as needed
  • Strong ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to high-quality customer service
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills, with the flexibility to work both independently and collaboratively
